Rallies for Clean Energy in Florida!
In the final days of this election season, help us ensure that Florida’s senatorial candidates understand that clean energy and climate action are priorities for Floridians!
On Saturday, Sarah Palin is campaigning with Florida Senatorial Candidate Marco Rubio in Orlando and on Sunday, all three candidates will debate in Tampa for the final time before the elections. We will be outside both events to "greet" candidates and show them and the media that we are serious about clean energy solutions. Orlando Campaign Rally on Saturday
What: Rally for Clean Energy at a campaign event for Florida Senatorial Candidate, Marco Rubio
When: Saturday, October 23, arrive by 12PM
Where: Orlando World Center Marriott 8701 World Center Drive Orlando, FL 32821
The campaign event begins at 1:45PM – so it’s important to gather with enough time for Candidate Rubio, the media, and constituents to see us as they go in. Tampa Debate Rally on Sunday
What: Rally for Clean Energy at a debate between Senatorial candidates Crist, Meek, and Rubio
When: Sunday, October 24th, 7:15AM to 9AM
Where: outside of Theatre 1, next to Marshall Student Center and USF book store on campus at University of South Florida
The debate begins at 9AM- so it’s important to gather with enough time for all three candidates, the media, and constituents to see us as they go in. Following our rally, volunteers can join a debate watching party in the Marshall Student Center. RSVP for either event or more information by calling Southern Alliance for Clean Energy and 1Sky Florida Organizer Andrea Cuccaro at 786-925-1151
These rallies are non-partisan and focused around the issue of climate change and clean energy solutions. We ask volunteers to join us in urging that the Clean Air Act be upheld while exposing the influence that Big Oil and Coal have on our elected leaders. We are not there to agree with or support campaigns for any candidate in particular. If you join with us, please do not express approval/disapproval/support/opposition for anything campaign volunteers or staff say, but do say you’re interested in setting up a sit-down meeting to discuss clean energy issues further. If you would like to rally in support of a particular candidate, please do so on your own time.
