How: Lend your support to those challenging FPL’s federal licensing application by attending the hearing anytime between 9 am – 5 pm. Join concerned organizations and citizens for a press conference at 12 pm.Please note that signs, banners, etc. cannot be brought into the hearing room. Public comments are not allowed during the hearing. What: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is holding an important administrative hearing that is open to the public on Friday, November 19 in Homestead, Florida from 9am-5pm to hear oral arguments from those challenging FPL’s request for a federal license to build two more costly nuclear reactors at the existing Turkey Point nuclear power plant next to Biscayne Bay, about 25 miles south of Miami. Show your support of the intervening organizations (Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, National Parks Conservation Association, CASE/Citizens Allied for Safe Energy, and the Village of Pinecrest) by attending!
