SACE | Southern Alliance for Clean Energy

Swanky South Beach Pollution Party

Join us dressed as your most detested type of pollution as we learn more about rollback attempts on the Clean Air Act. Despite a 2007 Supreme Court ruling that carbon pollution does threaten human health and must be regulated under the Clean Air Act, major polluters and their allies in Congress are trying to block the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to enforce this decades-old law.

At the South Beach Pollution party, we’ll learn more about these threats, begin planning for visits to our U.S. Senators and members of Congress to speak directly about the issues, and learn about a ballot initiative to halt efforts to drill for more dirty energy in our state waters.

Free hors d’oeuvres and $2 drink specials for the first two hours with a specialty drink called "Pollution on the Beach"
This costume party is for all ages as attendees will be carded at the bar.

Live performances from local artists:

Tom Gorrio (of Radar Vs. Wolf)

Michael Quinn (with a special song about the BP Oil Spill)

Pocket of Lollipops
