Remembering Fukushima, Protecting Florida

On the one year anniversary of the beginning of the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear disaster, we will be gathering at the corporate office of Progress Energy to honor the suffering Japanese people in this ongoing catastrophe. Fukushima is still spewing radiation into the environment. Is this type of event something we are willing to risk here in Florida? Destruction of our homes, aquifer, environment, health, lives and the end of the tourism industry that keeps our economy alive. Progress Energy’s plan to build new reactors in Levy County is unacceptable, especially in light of the instability and controversy surrounding the Crystal River plant. Protect what you love! Join us, and let Progress see the power of the people.
