The Climate Crisis in NC, Our Energy Future


Charlotte Sierra Club presents Dr. Harvard G. Ayers, Professor Emeritus of Anthropology at Appalachian State University, will present, “Climate Convergence on Raleigh – Charlotte Talks Climate.” about the many constituencies involved in the Climate Convergence on Raleigh, the work of NC groups on climate change, anti-fracking activists, anti-coal campaigners, fossil fuel divestment by North Carolina universities and colleges, and more.

Local Charlotte lawyer and environmental watchdog, Beth Henry, has been active on energy and related environmental and health issues for years. She has worked with NC WARN in the review and analysis of the Duke and Progress Energy Integrated Resource Plans (IRP). Ms. Henry will share her insight in the IRPs and what they do and don’t do for clean renewable energy, energy efficiency, our environment, and the Climate Crisis.
