Global Wind Day

Global Wind DayGlobal Wind Day takes place each year on June 15. On this date, events take place all over the world celebrating the wonderful benefits of wind power.

Wind power is the largest source of newly installed electricity generation in the United States and thousands of Americans work in the wind industry.

The benefits of wind power are that it is economical, it creates jobs, it doesn’t pollute or waste water to make electricity, and its fuel (the wind) is infinite.

Global Wind Day is an opportunity to learn more about wind energy, celebrate the benefits, and advocate for more wind energy.
