Join us in asking for accountable energy decisions

Please email the Attorney General’s office today. Ask him to push the Public Service Commission at tomorrow’s public meeting for transparent regulation of Alabama Power. You have an historic opportunity to speak up for cleaner, more affordable electricity in Alabama. Tomorrow, the Alabama Public Service Commission (PSC) is holding a public meeting that will inform decisions about what you pay for electricity and how that electricity is generated.

Help ensure the Attorney General protects consumers like you by writing to him today.

For thirty years, the elected PSC has used a formula to set electricity rates for Alabama Power customers with no formal public hearings and no transparent review of the utility’s costs – including expensive upgrades to old coal plants that might be cheaper to retire and replace from cleaner sources. Alabama’s Attorney General is responsible for ensuring the PSC process protects Alabama Power customers.

The Attorney General needs to hear why you support transparency in Alabama Power’s operations. Please take action TODAY!Send an email NOW to the AG’s office.

Bryant Drive, East in Tuscaloosa the afternoon and evening of June 18, and in Montgomery on July 17. We encourage you to attend these meetings. Please RSVP to so our staff can look out for you and, at your request, help you prepare comments.
