Caring for God’s Creation through Climate Action

The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) is pleased to announce that Southeast Coastal Climate Network’s (SECCN) webinar series will continue with a presentation on faith-based climate action in the Southeast. These webinars are your opportunity to learn about climate and energy issues that SECCN engages in everyday.

Studies are confirming that man-made pollution fuels global warming and costly, even deadly, extreme weather events and flooding; and triggers a cascade of human health impacts such as asthma attacks, heat-related deaths and respiratory complications. Some faith communities are demonstrating admirable leadership in heeding God’s call to care for creation, particularly those most impacted by climate change. Join this webinar to hear from faith leaders in Georgia (Rev. Alexis Chase), South Carolina (Rev. Michael McClain), and North Carolina (Penny Hooper) and learn about innovative programs that enable individuals and congregations to care for creation through clean energy climate actions.
