Bill McKibben Talk: “The Climate Heats Up”


One of SACE’s ally groups, Coastal Conservation League, will be hosting leading environmentalist and author Bill McKibben in Charleston for an engaging talk on climate change: “The Climate Heats Up”.

The lecture will take place in Physicians Auditorium on the College of Charleston Campus (66 George Street, Charleston SC 29424). Seating is first come first serve, so be sure to arrive early! Doors will open at 5pm, the lecture will begin at 6pm.

Mr. McKibben is the author of a dozen books about the environment, beginning with The End of Nature in 1989, which is regarded as the first book for a general audience on climate change. He is a founder of the grassroots climate campaign, which has coordinated 15,000 rallies in 189 countries since 2009. He is also the Schumann Distinguished Scholar at Middlebury College and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
