EPA’s Listening Session on the New Carbon Pollution Rule in Atlanta

parts/content-body.any.php

EPA is hosting public listening sessions across the country to solicit ideas and input from the public and stakeholders about the best approaches to reducing carbon pollution from existing power plants under the Clean Air Act. The first session is scheduled in Atlanta on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013. These standards have yet to be developed and are expected to be proposed by the end of June 2014. You can learn more about the standards here.

Existing power plants make up more than 30% of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and this forthcoming rule will play a significant role in cutting those emissions. Public input will be critical in helping EPA and states develop and design smart, cost-effective guidelines.

Please consider registering and providing comments at the listening session. You will be allotted 3 minutes to speak.
