Appalachian Energy Center Workshops: NC Energy Code Training


This workshop will cover the important changes in the residential and commercial energy codes for buildings and how it will affect building design in North Carolina. The new energy code has been in effect since March 1, 2012.

For the residential code, you’ll find out about new required insulation levels, air sealing details and testing options, duct testing requirements, and other key provisions. In regard to the commercial code, you’ll discover substantial changes for building insulation, lighting systems, lighting controls, HVAC controls, and additional requirements.
