1. Knoxville Climate Vigil – Sunday, September 14 at 4:00 p.m.

Description: Witness your support for climate protection by upholding the sacredness of all life, protecting vulnerable communities, and caring for the Earth. Tennessee Interfaith Power and Light offers this climate vigil for people of faith to come together as a step toward a spiritual response to the ecological and social challenges we must solve through our great faith in the transformative power of the good.

2. National Drive Electric Week Event – Saturday, September 20 at 10:00 a.m.

Description: National Drive Electric Week is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness about the benefits of electric vehicles and the types of electric vehicles available today. Join East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition for an electric vehicle extravaganza at beautiful Ijams Nature Center in shady South Knoxville. Bring your most burning questions to ask experts and electric vehicle owners!

3. Solar Nun: Climate Change & Faith – Friday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Description: Sister Paula Gonzalez, the Solar Nun, has worked for many years to promote sustainable living. She founded the Ohio Interfaith Power and a sustainable living learning center. A wine and cheese social will begin at 6:30 PM, and the program will begin at 7:00 PM.
