Katy joined the Development Team at the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy in June 2015. She is responsible for writing grant proposals, reports and quarterly updates in collaboration with Program Staff and the Development Team. She also conducts research on prospective funders and assists with membership cultivation and stewardship.
Katy originally hails from Tulsa, Okla. and previously worked as an attorney and freelance writer and editor in Greenville, NC.
Katy earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a Certificate in Environmental Law from Tulane University in 2013 and she received her Bachelor’s in Government, with minors in Psychology and Spanish Literature, from Dartmouth College in 2009. Prior to attending law school, Katy worked at an environmental law firm in New York, where she assisted in the administration of Superfund site cleanups and analyzed environmental laws and regulations.
