Kara Karona


Kara-Karona-Florida-staff-2A Florida native, Kara works on promoting clean energy, focusing on citizen education of solar energy in the state. She has worked with SACE independently on a number of energy issues since Sept. 2014, where she provided assistance in planning and organizing the Climate Science and Solutions Summit and Pitchfork Protest. Most recently, she has led volunteer outreach for solar education across Florida.

Before working with SACE team members, Kara was canvassing with Environment Florida and the Florida Consumer Action Network, advocating for cleaner water and better transportation options in the Tampa Bay Area. Kara graduated from University of South Florida in May 2012 with a bachelor of arts in Mass Communications and a minor in Environmental Science and Policy.
