Water & Energy: SACE Keynote at Coosa River Basin Initiative

coal-gaAmelia Shenstone, Campaigns Director with SACE, will be the keynote speaker at the Annual Meeting of the Coosa River Basin Initiative (CRBI). Amelia will discuss the nexus between water and energy (lots of water is used to produce electricity at coal and nuclear power plants) and emerging energy sources. Will wind, solar and other renewables change our world?

When: Tues., Jan. 26, 2016, 6:00-8:00 PM

Where: Georgia Northwestern Technical College, 1 Maurice Culberson Dr., Rome GA, 30161. Look for directional signs at the entrance to the campus.
The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. with refreshments. The business meeting will begin at 6:30 followed by the keynote address at 7:15. The address will follow a presentation of CRBI’s annual report, a preview of what’s to come in 2016 and volunteer and supporter recognitions. There is no cost to attend the meeting.
