South Carolina: Lowcountry solar installations boom in 2016 as local governments issue nearly 1,400 permits


“More homes in the Lowcountry are generating their own power as the number of solar panel installations in the three-county Charleston region has exploded over the past year. New figures from a consortium of local governments show that close to 1,400 permits were issued for solar installations in the region last year. That’s compared to fewer than 100 in 2015.”
