lawrence-johnsonLawrence joined the Memphis NAACP Branch and SACE’s Proud Voter Campaign in October of 2017. As the Civic Engagement Organizer, he manages voter campaigns; town hall meetings and works diligently in increasing voter awareness quickly and effectively!

Prior to joining NAACP/SACE, he served as the District Manager for State Representative Karen Camper and State Senator Reginald Tate. He managed and organized community events, including town halls and meets and greets. He developed and implemented community outreach projects, including non-conviction expungement clinics and civics programs for high school students. He is a creative and self-motivated consultant with over 7 years of experience in political campaign strategy, community affairs, and public and media relations. Lawrence is proficient at conducting voter demographics research and organizing community and political events.

Currently Lawrence is pursuing a double major at Lemoyne Owens College in Business Administration and Environmental studies. Recently NAACP nominated Lawrence for the Next Generation leader. A proud father of Lawrence Jr, his Future Rocket Scientist who believes that what we do now will affect the climate for the future.
