Job Descriptions

Energy Policy Staff

Highly-qualified individuals with a demonstrated understanding of energy policy issues and either a management or advocacy background are encouraged to provide a resume and letter of interest for future positions.

We anticipate future openings for staff with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: industrial and commercial energy management, utility system resource planning, energy efficiency programs, renewable energy analysis, or utility regulatory policy. The applicant must demonstrate solid skills in most of the following areas: writing, public speaking, analytic and computer applications. Experience with state agencies, decision-makers, media, or non-profit advocacy necessary.

We are often flexible as to job location, typically expecting staff to be based in Tennessee, Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, or (more rarely) Washington, DC.  Salary offers are commensurate with nonprofit compensation, including a full benefits package, in the Southeast. It is possible that we may fill a new position without advertising it should the right applicant indicate interest in response to this.

Applicants should email resume and letter of interest to apply@cleanenergy.org and note any restrictions regarding location, salary and dates of availability.

Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we are unable to personally contact all applicants. Please be assured that every application is reviewed and considered by a senior member of our staff.
