The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) seeks a full-time Transmission Policy Manager to provide expertise on issues related to regional transmission planning by participating in stakeholder forums, plus educating decision makers and fellow stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
The Transmission Policy Manager will work to develop and implement internal and external plans to accomplish program and organizational goals. Responsibilities will include:
- Implement SACE’s strategy toward proactive, holistic transmission planning in the Southeast
- Participate in stakeholder forums related to regional transmission planning, including processes by the Southeast Transmission Planning (SERTP), Carolinas Transmission Planning Collaborative (CTPC), and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)’s Integrated Transmission Planning (ITP)
- Work with SACE Research Director and allies through intervention in state and federal dockets relevant to transmission and transmission planning
- Develop, review and submit transmission related public policy and economic studies and requests
- Communications deliverables related to transmission planning in the region.
- Attend transmission-related conferences, as appropriate
- With the Research Director and other key staff, develop a 5-year transmission strategic plan for SACE and annual implementation plans
- Serve as SACE subject matter expert on transmission
- May require travel around the region to conferences and meetings throughout the year
- Participation and subject-area leadership in program and organization strategy
- Participation and leadership in grant and other development requirements to support program

This is a full-time remote position but will be based in the southeast.
