Webinar: Demystifying TVA’s Integrated Resource Plan
- This event has passed.
December 4 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Officials at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) are currently deciding how they will meet electricity needs for the next 25 years, and their draft plan could set us up for decades of pollution, higher electric bills, and missed opportunities. TVA develops this integrated resource plan, also known as an IRP, once every five years, and it will guide TVA’s decisions in the coming years about what kinds of power plants and other grid infrastructure it should build, such as investing in energy efficiency and clean solar power, or locking customers into paying billions of dollars on polluting methane gas plants and pipelines.
TVA is taking public comments on their draft plan until December 11. To help inform you of what’s in the plan and how you can help make your comment effective, we invite you to a webinar to learn more.
During this webinar, SACE Research Director Maggie Shober will break down what is—and what isn’t—in TVA’s draft integrated resource plan, why it will matter to all of us for decades, and how you can make your voice heard in public comments.
In addition to watching the webinar recording, you can also check out our blog on TVA’s exceedingly broad integrated resource plan to learn more.
