Janet joined the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy in October 2024. In her role, she focuses on making electric transportation more accessible and equitable. She leads the implementation of the Electric Black Futures project.
In her previous position, Janet was the Clean Energy Program Coordinator for the City of Savannah Office of Sustainability. She supported the 100% Savannah Plan Initiative, which is Savannah’s commitment to meeting 100% clean electricity by 2035 and all other energy needs by 2050. Before that, she was the first Climate and Health intern for the New Orleans Health Department. She is originally from Plains, GA and was raised in Albany, GA. She is a proud University of Georgia alum and her Bachelor’s degree is in Environmental Health Science.
Janet resides in Savannah, GA. In her free time she enjoys eating, sleeping, traveling, hiking, visiting museums, and watching college football.
