Advisory: FL Nuclear Tax Under Legislative Debate

Tallahassee, Fla. – NEWS ADVISORY – Florida’s controversial “nuclear tax” is up for discussion by the Florida Legislature on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 8 a.m.

The House Energy & Utilities Subcommittee will discuss a bill addressing the cost recovery issue. Former federal and state regulator, Peter Bradford, will attend the hearing and be available to interested members of the media immediately afterward to discuss ways in which Florida’s consumers can gain better protections. WHO: Peter Bradford, adjunct professor of the Institute for Energy and the Environment at Vermont Law School, former Commissioner with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, former Chair of the New York and Maine Utility Commissions Susan Glickman, lobbyist and consultant with Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.

WHEN: Thursday, April 11, 2013, immediately following the House Energy & Utilities Subcommittee meeting, which begins at 8 a.m.
