NRC Licensing Board Ruling Vogtle COL
On March 5, 2009 the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s licensing board panel ruled that SACE and our partner organizations, BREDL, Center for a Sustainable Coast, Georgia WAND, and Savannah Riverkeeper have a case regarding Southern Nuclear’s combined construction operating license application (COL). They ruled that the Company failed to study long-term effects of on-site radioactive waste storage if an off-site location does not become available.ASLB-Vogtle-COL-Ruling-030509.pdf
