SACE staff honored at Mother’s Day Peace Event

ATLANTA – Georgia Women’s Action for New Directions (Georgia WAND) hosted keynote speaker Laura Turner Seydel at their Mother’s Day for Peace fundraiser yesterday on Sunday, April 28, at Agnes Scott College. Georgia WAND also honored Sara Barczak, the High Risk Energy Director for the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy; attorney Diane Curran, a nationally recognized expert in the field of nuclear safety and security; and attorney Mindy Goldstein, the Director of Emory University’s Turner Environmental Law Clinic for their tireless dedication to environmental justice. “This year we’re celebrating the work of some of the toughest legal minds and most accomplished environmental activists I know. Each one of these women embodies a unique strength that is helping us build a powerful movement for clean and sustainable energy and healthy communities.
